Christmas Sugar Cookies

Baking together is a wonderful tradition that many families do this time a year.

A family favorite of ours is sugar cookies. The boys are always eager to use the cookie cutters and give this simple dough the shapes that will make a cookie stand out.

Stars, bells, gingerbread man, Christmas tress, candy cane and snow flakes are some of the cookie cutters we have. My job is to roll the dough, and their job is to cut cut cut!

Once we are done baking and cooling…Let the fun begin!

This year we decided to use only the white icing, keep it simple, while still having fun bringing the shapes to life.

Since we had some jars available, we played around and used them as snow globes.

Get your favorite sugar cookies recipe and let your imagination flow this Christmas. Merry Christmas!

Wow, somehow you managed to make homemade sugar cookies like they were done by a professional (which I guess they kind of were!) ;) Our cookies always look like a 5-year-old decorated them. How did you put the frosting on your cookies?
