Salmon has been one of my favorite fishes for a long time. This fresh water fish is easy to prepare and has a delightful soft texture.
To top it all up, salmon is high in Omega-3 fatty oils, and it’s considered one of the best choices for those who are trying to “like” fish in their diet. Why? Because Salmon has a mild flavor and will not scare the newbies away:)
This recipe has simple ingredients that you will be able to find all year around. I like to keep the salmon simple, seasoned with salt and pepper, and let the imagination flow in the sauce!
Adapted from Simple Recipes
- 4 salmon fillets
- grapeseed oil spray
- 2 large avocados
- 1/2 juice of lime
- 1 garlic
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp green onions
- 2 tbsp cilantro
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- salt and pepper
- Sauce: In a food processor add avocados, lime juice, garlic, green onions, cilantro, honey, mustard, salt, and pepper. Process all the ingredients until well combined. Add the olive oil slowly, and process all the ingredients until smooth.
- Salmon: Using a hot oil coated grill or grill pan, add the salmon for 3-4 minutes each side. Set aside when ready and cover with foil to keep the heat or serve immediately.
In less than 15 minutes you will be able to enjoy a delicious and nutritional meal. Bom Apetite! (Portugues).
